Alert:
In April 2020, BBB investigated Beachfront Only Vacation Rentals' business practices. This investigation was prompted by an influx of consumer inquiries alleging that the business has been asking consumers to take down a review/complaint filed with BBB in order to receive a refund or credit.
On April 10, 2020, BBB reached out to Beachfront Only Vacation Rentals to request information about the business' refund and cancellation policy. BBB also requested that the business discontinues requesting the suppression of negative reviews and complaints. Additionally, BBB informed Beachfront Only Vacation Rentals of the FTC Consumer Review Fairness Act.
Through an investigation, BBB sent the company an SBQ (Standard Business Questionnaire) on April 22, 2020, via mail. The business did not return the Standard Business Questionnaires sent.
BBB also attempted to contact the company by phone but the company did not return our phone call.
On April 27, 2020 BBB sent the business a final letter to request they address the issues. The business has not responded to BBB.
David sits on the Board of Directors for Visit Oceanside. His actions do not "create a visitor-friendly community."
Per their website - "Visit Oceanside is marketing the City of Oceanside as a premiere Southern California beach destination and helping to create a visitor-friendly community."
